14.2% alcohol. This is quite classically styled California Chardonnay. Medium yellow color. Pretty nose of apple and pear, with a moderate dose of oak, and hints of minerals. In the mouth, a robust style with excellent fruit delineation, a moderately buttery feel, good acidity, and a strong finish. Very nice and gained complexity and became more compelling closer to room temperature. A-

Bev & Rob's Fri nite blind: The second of 3 white wines tasted blind, brought by csnyder612. Obvious oak on the nose, seemed new world right off the bat, was thinking quality Chardonnay, California, probably Sonoma. Apples, butterscotch, vanilla, pear, hint of lemon. Pretty rich and a bit decadent. The palate showed off those same fruits, with a buttery oak component and a bit of heat from the obviously higher alcohol in this wine. The oak started off as being distractingly dominant, but this was partly due to the Chablis-esque wine tasted just before it. Once I got used to the palate, I thought this wine wasn't in a style that I regularly liked, but it was done exceedingly well in this style, and although it ended up being my least favorite of the 3 white this evening, I still enjoyed it a lot. The med acidity nicely supported the med+, big and bold finish, which was oak slathered orchard fruits. This wine is drinking nicely now, and probably won't improve with bottle age, but could be consumed and enjoyed through 2017 or so. Sonoma Chardonnay, RRV, spot on!
