Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of pineapple and toasty oak, but on the wane with some unbalanced mineral notes in the fore. Better than the last bottle, which was very much over the hill.

Served with scallops and a warm corn salad. Representative of the cold 2011 vintage, a fine wine, but, with the exception of acidity, everything is muted, Notes of stone fruit and ginger are faint, as are the smoky notes of oak. A subtle wine to serve when one looks for the food to shine with a wine accompaniment.

Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of minerals and angular oak with no fruit in evidence. Lacked balance. Probably over the hill.
