A fine wine with characteristics well described in earlier posts. The finish seems shorter than I expected and in alignment with the Drink Soon sentiments expressed by davidandrose below.

Uncorked and allowed to slow ox for 45 mins, then followed over 3 hours. Bright red and blue fruit on the nose along with astringent/rubbing alcohol. Pleasing mouthfeel is on the watery side but has lots of blue and blackberry flavors. Medium-to-soft tannins are better than expected for the vintage, but indicate that this should be consumed in the coming year to ensure that the wine has sufficient structure when drinking.

Good wine - only observation is that at $55 there are a lot of other good candidates. It was a hard vintage but they did a good job with the spare me. At the core there is acidity; interesting to see how it would evolve with cellar time. This wine offers a deep, rich mix of dark berries and end with a long persistent finish.

The 2011, 90% Napa Cabernet and 10% Petit Verdot, is once again approachable and satisfying. Bright, deep ruby/purple in color, it expresses violets, white pepper and black raspberry on the nose. This densely-packed and energetic wine exhibits lively tannins balanced by sweet notes of chocolate-covered blueberries, cedar and warm blackberries. The juicy finish is plush and lingers with just a hint of clove. This one is “in the pocket”.
