Ruby to slight brick near the edge. Nose carries plenty of dried red cherry, mocha, espresso, vanilla, and spice. Fully integrated on the palate, medium body and moderate acidity. Finish is interesting and lingers. All in all, still thoroughly enjoyable. I enjoy these wines on the younger side, but this may reward those who wait another 3-5 years when more nuance emerges.

Drank and compared with another 2012 FEL Pinot - Spiritis Savoy
This deep red wine drank well but lacked the depth and maturity of the Spiritis Savoy. Dark fruit/berries with an oaky earthy notes that were balanced. Medium finish - low/medium acidity.

Wine was light when first opened but after 30 minute the fruit opened up in the nose and taste. Cherry, not a sweet cherry, more tart. Finish long and dry, but in good balance. Had with salmon and was a great match.

Dark red but short of black, with a red cherry nose. The sip is fruit sweet, moderately tannic, and fairly acidic. The best part of the wine is the swallow and aftertaste, which is more concentrated, complex, and adds a black cherry fruit. Overall, while enjoyable, a disappointing wine for one from Anderson Valley and with this high a price.
