  Very dark, very suspect, but had lovely caramel, butterscotch notes, with just a hint of shrooms/earthiness from just a slight hint of oxidation. Sweet but not desert level. Good, not great. Probably has some oxy problems but drinking well. Would love to try a perfectly stored bottle of this. Hippo w/EWG 2001 wines

  Truly magnificent Auslese. Gold amber, quite viscous, faint petrol and ripe loquat, sweet and tart, honey and mineral, Seville oranges, orange Marmalade, apple pie, with a long finish. Paired well with a Greek cheese pie and a orzo-chicken-spinach pilaf. A rare treat. 5+13+18+8.

  If you have this wine I would recommend opening one, as it's in a great place.
