Mystified by the Washington Post rave for this. Developed a bit after being open awhile and on day 2, but this is just an ordinary, drinkable wine-- $10 is about right.

Drank from half bottle in a restaurant. Good intensity in the colour. Youthful, charming nose full of fruit with faint herbal hints. The palate however is flat, boring, lacking body and structure. The little tannic bite that was there in the first sip softened very quickly. Did not have enough power to match hearty Turkish food. In character, this reminds of a cheap Vin de Pay d'Oc. Most shops in Turkey sell it for around 27-30 TL per 75 cl bottle (= 9-10€) which is really overpriced for a wine of such basic quality. I think it has been more successful in certain vintages than in others.
