This bottle was just a touch suspect on the initial pop, but air assuaged those worries. A little must blew off revealing a rather ripe expression (more than I expected) with a bit of green stem (I think). A little bit of VA and some development. With aeration it integrated and fanned into a delicious companion to our meal. I do think the Coche reds are very good. This is one to check in on now and see if you agree.

Beautiful ruby color - darker than your average Burgundy red. Intense nose of raspberries, strawberries - still quite primary. Medium acidity, sweet tobacco, cranberries, fine tannins, a bit of oak on the ending. Very young, not sure this will improve much with age but it’s in a very good spot already. For being a village level, this is such a wel made wine. But still a village level after all. Worth trying!

Served blind; This had lots of elegant red fruit on the nose integrated with some earth and floral undertones; The precision and aromatics of the red fruit had me thinking Old World, but I did not guess Burgundy; Drinking very well right now

Served blind...lots of nice ripe fruit here which made me think Cali. Quite surprised by the reveal. A red fruit basket, a lovely made wine.
