Dark red, translucent at edges. Dark berry and earth aromas. Beautiful, intense fruit, black cherries, strawberries, moist earth. Fine, firm tannins, great acidity and balance. Long, graceful finish of dark fruits, hint of anise. Beautiful and at peak. Drink next 5 to 8 years.

Big (but enjoyable) Russian River Pinot. Fruit forward, usual plum, cherry with enough tannins. As to the end drink date of 2018, I'd say another 3+ years on the conservative side (so I'll update the CT dates). It seems a little lacking in acid with relatively high alcohol so the aging potential seems limited but not OTH at 2018.

Still a deep purple color, some floral elements still on nose but finish is all dark berry fruit. An intense RRV pinot

Dark, burnt, brooding, gone. Sad.
