Wonderful deep dark color, woods and berries nose, tart Tart TART on the tongue, followed by decent berries and some dark chocolate. Lonnngg nice finish.
I like it, but I'll try again in 2017-8 to see if it mellows.

This is our favorite profile for a Syrah. (wife) Linda loves this style of big rich chewy black and blue berry fruits.
Dark inky purple, full bodied, rich, concentrated thick chewy tongue coasting black and ripe blue berry fruits with layers of accent tones - licorice, brown spice and graphite.
Lots of oak, to the point of tasting sweet coconut. Feels too manipulated, no purity of fruit. Needs more acidity. I really expected to score this higher, but I would not buy it again. My first Lewis Cellars wine. Disappointed, not my style.
