A wonderful way to end Easter dinner. Fully resolved tannins. Figs, dates, raisins, and warm spice all intertwined with prominent sweetness. A pleasure, and cheap as chips at auction.

Drinking well. Vibrant, intensely sweet fruit framed with tertiary flavors; tannins fully resolved.

Acquired on auction 2020. No formal tasting notes, but very enjoyable port. Ranked #2 in wide tasting. Wasn't expecting much since first of two bottles was likely stored improperly. This one was a delight.
This bottle had some life left - revising my drink window higher.

Tawny.
Aromas of raisin, fig, strawberry preserve, apricot kernel, juniper berry and cinnamon.
Delicately sweet.
Mellowed tannins. Sweet cherry acids and peach pit bitterness.
Palate of cherry, aniseed, cinnamon, milk chocolate, wet wood, candied orange and sandalwood.
A mature and vital port at its peak with vital red fruit and lovely chocolate and spicy aromas. Drink within 10 years. Tasted 2023. Tasted alongside Fonseca 2000. The matched wine has the potential to grander over time, however, today, the present wine an extra-ordinary charm.

Holding up very well, faded dark fruits, at peak, or slightly past peak.
