Tasted blind. Clear, medium (+) gold. The nose is medium (+) in intensity, and developing. When first opened, there was a whiff of volatile acidity and of petrol which quickly disappear, leading to aromas of ripe golden delicious apples, ripe lemon, apricot, overripe banana, pineapple and mango and oodles of white and lavender flowers and sweet baking spices, including vanilla, cinnamon, spicy ginger and clove. The palate is off-dry to medium dry, with medium to medium (-) acidity and medium alcohol at 12.9%. The palate is consistent with the nose, with a slight but pleasant asian spice bitterness on the medium (+) finish. The mouthfeel is round, creamy and oily, more so than the alcohol would indicate, and the flavor intensity is medium (+). It is a very complex wine for the money, which leans a little too much towards the softer, sweeter side of the spectrum. Nevertheless, it would make a great pairing with the right foods. Drink now, not intended for aging.

20% of this is fermented on the skins. From 2 north facing vineyards. 'They' keep on saying this is a single vineyard, but the back label says otherwise. Sweet and nice florals. Lychee and peach.

This wine produced striking aromas, chiefly of Cascade hops, but also of lychee and white pepper. Unfortunately the palate was unbalanced; quite sweet, but lacking in acidity.
The back label has a slider-bar, in the German manner, to indicate sweetness, and it points to "medium dry". The wine tasted much sweeter than "medium dry", but not quite sweet enough to constitute a dessert wine. It was thus cloying and flabby, albeit exotic, and impossible to match with foods, as well as too sweet to function as an aperitif.
I bought a case of this, untasted, based upon the glowing reviews on CT and in Wine Spectator. I won't make that mistake again (I've had similar experiences with Rieslings). No more German varietals for me, unless they're made in Alsace!

A pretty little Gewurz! Great warm weather wine to drink on the back deck this summer.

Too sweet to drink by itself; I had to mix it with a very dry cider to make it palatable.
