  • Meh. More green apple than any of the expected meunier character. Decent acid and certainly not a _bad_ champagne, but not worth seeking out. Sterile

  • DG 10/2019
Nose is very earthy, on the mushroom and autolysis end of the spectrum. Palate is more mushroom notes, yellow fruits, rich but very acid forward and balanced. Slightly short finish detracts but overall it’s pretty decent.

  • An offbeat champagne: We had one glass before dinner and finished the bottle after dinner. It had evolved considerably (and favorably) while it was open, which suggests that it needs some aeration and/or more time in the cellar. Initially, it was dominated by green-apple acidity, with a fair degree of bitterness, very dry, with very fine bubbles. Later, the acidity had mellowed, there was a powerful aroma of rye bread, and an array of flavors, including bubblegum and gentian -- think Suze or Genepy. This is not a classic by any means, but will provide some geeky pleasure at a reasonable price.

  • 2021 dg. Gobs of toffee on the nose… perhaps a tiny hint of pear? Palate quite dry and light at first, but that proves brief - more toffee notes and brown butter richness appear in the mouth, and dried apple. Not too acidic. Not a roller coaster of complexity but not bad for a $14 split with some duck breasts on a Tuesday.

  • Just a delicious BdN.

Lots of citrus, red fruits and autolytics.

High acidity , medium bodied with a long and delicious finish.

First time trying this cuvee and I wasn't disappointed.
