Root Day - light gold in the glass. Nose is white flowers, honey, lime and lemon. On the palate it’s rich with terrific presence due to the full flavours (honey, lime zest and white flowers) with zesty acidity to balance the ripe fruit. The finish is long with the ripe fruit and lime zest along with the honey notes continuing. This appears to be in the perfect zone of maturity and youth. An amazing wine.

Fresh sweet nose of honey, lemon, apple, something a bit more exotic like kiwi. Rich plush palate with more honey, apple/pear, very good balance and refreshing acid and medium+ length. Very good, would be fun to taste against the JJ Prüm version. Moderate sweetness, a well balanced Riesling.

Clear medium yellow. Intense nose of honey, lemon, apple and spices. Delicious lemon and honey flavours. Ripe sweet honey and lemon finish with a lot of mouth cleaning acid.

Prickly and lots of fun. Very rich in the mid palate but with good acidity. Jeff wants more cut but notes that the stone comes out at the end. Certinaly enough dry extract he finishes. And that is the case.

A private tasting (Wine Bar 1707 at Fortnum & Mason, London, UK): Very different style from the benchmark JJ Prüm, waxy and forward, ripe fruit, peach and honey, hint of sulphur, delicately sweet, soft and fleshy, green apple skins, good length.
