Only light yellow. Fresh, sea side, lemon and some anise in the nose. Lovely balance of ample, plush orchard fruit and acid, with salinity and an interesting bitterness on the finish. This is in its prime now

Burg lunch at SSG. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Tasted blind. Showed well! Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of green apples, citrus lime, green melon, stony minerality. Developing. On the palate, dry, very high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with incisive cutting flavours of precise stony minerality, chalk, hint of brine, citrus lemon-lime, green apples, green pear, green melon. Long acidic finish. Very good quality. This bottle has come into its own now. Entered into the drinking window. Should still go on developing over the next 5 years.

La Paulée de Los Angeles - The Verticals (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Vertical. Fun enough but botrytis still protrudes.

Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills): Magnum. Deeper yellow. Funky aromas with acetate. Medium to light weight but little depth. Honeyed, dull, and woody. Why did they even bother showing this?
