Expect a dark - almost opaque - colour with an expressive nose of raspberry (Grenache) with a whack of spice. There is a defined brown edge in the glass.
The attack is warm & rich with spicy, sweet dark cherry fruit dominating. However, with this amount of age, you will find spicy, meaty notes as well.
Very easy to like ...especially if hedonistic reds are your favourite.

Awesome QPR on this wine. Paid $13 at Total Wine. Done in Phillippe Cambie's standard approach to Grenache with no oak, it has distinct notes of ripe blackberry, garrigue, and a touch of pepper and gaminess. Alcohol burn is noticeable on this finish which prevents it from scoring a couple points higher, but I'll buy this over and over. Pair with roasted lamb with thyme, rosemary, and sage rub.

Past its prime. I would drink up. Fruit has really faded out. The suggested drinking window is accurate in my opinion.
