In a great place right now. Decanted for about 45 minutes and drank well even after being in the decanter for ~2 hours. Pepper, raspberry fruit. A well made wine.

Creativity is an homage to Northern Rhone from Epoch's hyper-talentd winemaker Jordan Fiorentini. Instead, of the obligatory Syrah-Viognier blend, however, Jordan fashions this wine from Syrah and that other white Rhone varietal Roussane. The wine is full-bodied, but elegant with a nose and flavors of blackberry, black cherry and muted oak. It has a finish that is nearly silky smooth, suggesting that it will improve with a few years in the cellar; but seriously, life is way too short. Drink it this Christmas or on New Year's Eve, or better yet, tonight, because you are grateful for everything that is good in your life.

Another excellent Paso syrah. Big and bold with deep, dark fruit. At least 3-5 years left in it.
