Deep garnet and well extracted. This has a lovely nose of inky red fruits, blackcurrants, a touch of tar and menthol. Excellent - much better than its lowly status would suggest- minor classed growth quality here. Very promising and with a bit of a roasted character typical of the vintage but fresh and pure aromas nonetheless - no banana bread here. To taste, youthful but excellent ripe red fruits, low acidity but enough to be fresh. Very ripe and clean but with classic Bordeaux restraint stopping it from being soupy. The only downside is there is a fair bit of tannin here - they will probably never fully go away but they are ripe rather than harsh. An excellent wine, one that gives me hope for the future of Bordeaux wines in this vintage. Years of life left and no sign whatsoever of early development. A real success.

(Château Tour de Mirambeau Cuvée Passion) Coffee and caramel oak nose; aggressive ripe palate with too much oak, a little out of whack; long oaky finish

Good youthful red fruits, lush but good structure too. Showing well and no signs of ageing.

Showing a little heat this time and some development but still plenty of soft, youthful red fruit. Good to drink now.

little metalic at first taste, balanced dryed fruit after just a few minutes. 30 minutes and it has added just a little chocolate.
