It's hard to overstate what a profound drink and great value this armagnac is. The aromas of fruitcake and leather are powerful from eight inches away.

Tonight, I drank this armagnac next to Martell XO cognac (about twice the price). To my tastes, the armagnac was vastly superior, overwhelmingly more exciting and complex.
This armagnac explodes with intense bubble gum, an array of dried fruits, cinnamon, leathery rancio, and dry oats. An extraordinary value for $70 or so.

I'm happy to sing the praises of the full line of Pellehaut armagnacs. They are all terrific and outstanding values. Kudos to K&L for offering them.
The 1994 (20 years old) reminds me of intense bubble gum flavor, prunes and raisins, and cinnamon. It is relatively young and is only stating to develop the leathery flavors that I enjoy in older armagnacs. But it compensates with vibrant fruit and bubble gum flavor. ("Bubble gum flavor" is my best stab at describing a characteristic common to most armagnacs, but difficult to describe. I've used "cookie dough" before.)

Deep caramel color. Tiramisu, burnt caramel and mahogany on the woodsy nose. Very elegant, albeit hot (48.5% abv). 24 years aging in barrel.
