This is drinking very nicely right now. We decanted it and let it rest for a while, but it didn't really open much. The next day it was ready. It display a great balance between the soft, almost fruit of the Grenache and the peppery nature of the Syrah. Very, very clean with a really nice mouthfeel. The nose was that of the Grenache with a red fruit sweetness. The aftertaste was modestly long.

Pop and pour, consumed over 2 hours. Appearance: Clear, dark garnet - showing signs of edge bricking. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity, developed aromas of dried cherries, blackberry, black pepper, spice, licorice, and dark earth. Palate: Clean, medium acid, medium+ tannin, medium+ intensity, medium+ body, high alcohol (15.2% abv), developed flavors of dried cherries, licorice, spice, and earthiness with long finish. Overall a very good wine showing exceptional intensity and length with very good complexity but slightly out of balance due to the high alcohol - there just isn't quite enough depth here to support 15.2% abv. All in all this is still a very enjoyable wine and those who like big bold wines will very much like this. Drink now or over the next 2 years.

Great wine, had in Reidel Syrah glasses with bbq ribeye. I wouldn’t keep too much longer. Opened about an hour before consuming.

Savory with loads of red and dark berries. Lush and silky on the palate. This drinks well.
