Have seen this NV lot One bottling for 9-10 years from obscure hidden quiet location that typically have quality upscale treasures. Every time I’ve purchased it it has been stunning , unique, & delicious. My I continued to play Russian Roulette with other offering, and didn’t just call the winery a load up cases of this stuff I must need to have my head examined. Incredible QPR for such an extracted and rich Rhone blend from sonoma county. The age is creeping in, but there is big peppery all recognizable hSyrah, Grenache, & Petite Sirah each poppy in the nose. Dark black eyed plum, cassis, blackberries and a touch of bay leaf and eucalyptus. At a l15.3 abv it right in my pleasure wheel house. Bit of graphite and Boysenberry on the olfactory finish. Seamlessly consistent in flavor with dense satisfying tannins and restrained and complimentary oak nuances. Great fruit and mouthfeel , a pleasure to drink. Would score a few points higher, but there is some decline. If you have it… It’s probly 12 years old … Drink it up and enjoy.

A nice New world version of a southern Rhone. Still full of fresh fruit, with soft tannins. At peak, but should hold for at least another year. Great with roasted chicken dinner.

Continuing the tradition of Marietta Cellar's Old Vine Red, this is a big, gorgeous wine, with lots of complexity, plenty of smoothness and a long, lush finish. Wow.
