Smoke, red fruits like Cornelian cherries, cherries, raspberries and cranberries. Really very good wine. Reminiscent of a wine from the South of France. A bit of a lighter style (for today's standards....). 13% alc. but not noticeable at all.

Very nice value priced wine from Portugal. There is a fruity softness that implies some whole cluster fermentation. Soft ans approachable much like a Pinot Noir. Red to purple color, magenta rim. The nose smells of grape jelly and plum. Medium bodied. Plum and blueberry fruit. Sneaky little tannins. Some secondary, earthy, Old World style barnyard aromas and flavors. Starts showing more structure with some time in the glass. Some spice shows up with red raspberry on the finish.

Looked almost purple on the initial pour. Full-bodied with tart cherries. Agree with wineaficionado below. A good bottle for the money.

Light tannin with no real acidity and some residual sugar. Lacking complexities but still drinks pretty well.
