  • This is a typical good quality Tempranillo Grenache blend that for the price is great value. Have enjoyed the 2011 and 2012 which are both still drinking well now.

  • This was very typical of a Rioja Crianza in a good way.

Just spent the summer in Spain, and found myself drinking a lot of Crianza with my meals, for many bars and restaurants its the house pour, and it pairs very well with Spanish stews and red meat dishes.

It is fairly lightweight, and had good acidity, and strikes a good balance between sweet dark fruit, light tannins and a hint of dust and leather from the Tempranillo grape and the limited barrel aging of the Crianza.

For $13, its a great buy to pair with a pork or beef dish,or even pasta or chicken dishes, I think its quite versatile.
