After being open for 4 days there was some lovely nutty notes on the palate. I personally felt that it was more enjoyable than a '95 Coulee de Serrant from N. Joly, which had been open for 3 days (although the Joly was a VERY interesting wine).

Tasted at the domaine. Limestone hill vineyard above the village. Oldest of Voge's Marsanne vines (70 years old). Barrel Fermented. Aged 15 months with batonnage. TN: spicy, some oak. Slightly sharp in the mouth. Some minerality. I preferred the excellent 2004 (see TN).

Gold/yellow. Smoky apple fruit with hints of wax. Beautiful flavours. Very wieghty. Long dry finish. Not really fruit driven but great wine.

Very nice drinking wine. Clean and very minerally. We really enjoyed. Excellent with a simple fish. Highly recommended.
