Beguiling aromas: Some exotic spices, dark fruit, very attractive. On the palate the wine is silky, smooth, harmonious with a firm acidic backbone and well integrated tannins. Went well with the main dish: Rabbit in red wine with boiled potatoes and spring vegetables. The wine today presented itself much better than at the dinner with Jim Cahill last year. I think it has many years to go provided the underlying acidity does not easy up the fruit. Anyway: Bravo to Ayoub! A great effort.

Tasted along side Louis Jadot's Gevrey Chambertin of 2010 at Restaurant Black Salt. Medium Burgundy color; very soft on the nose, on the palate it did not leave much of an impression. Was more in the vaine of the 2013 Bergstrom bottles which I did not particularly enjoy This wine lacks the "Je ne sais quoi" I was expecting . Was disappointed. Hold the last bottle for a couple more years; maybe it will improve (even if I am doubtful).

Second of two bottles, still wonderful. The effervescence is gone and the flavors are more balanced and muted. Probably a bit past peak.
