  Lovely. Lighter than expected. On the paler side of medium intensity ruby colour. Dusty aromas of dark cherries, blackberry, black pepper, pine bark and something a little floral. Bright fruitiness and acid. Lower side of medium bodied, but beautifully balanced tannins to make it a really tasty and chewy. Enjoyed it a lot. Not as heavy as most of this variety, so am surprised abv is so high: 14.3%. Had with unlikely pairing of Chinese dumplings with chillie oil and went well. Would be great with duck....
