  • Very nice drinking over 3 nights. Not heavy licorice like so many syrahs, but nice balance and complexity with overall good flavors. Don't agree at all with drinking window peaking last year. Still going strong and could gain with another year or so.

  • Beautiful dark purple color. Rich pruney nose. Blackberry on the tip of the tongue. Some, “woodiness” to which I would attribute tannin. Nice firm tannins and acid give lots of backbone. I love the fact that this is not an in-your-face-with-fruit wine. The blackberry note hinted dissipates into a truly terrific wine experience.

  • Needs at least 30 minutes of air. Nose kept getting better throughout the night. Lovely dark fruit with good complexity. Full bodied but very smooth on the palate. Incredible balance and craftsmanship. Paired with various grilled meats / sausage. Glad I have another bottle.

  • This is a nice full bodied syrah. We had this wine with venison medallions and grilled steak. It paired extremely well. On the nose there's dark berries, tobacco and hints of cured meats. On the palate, there's a load of ripe dark berries, smokiness, and white pepper with soft tannins. Although still in its youth, it is drinking very well now and should evolve well over the next 5-7 years.

  • Good solid Syrah, best with food (esp BBQ). Nice balance of black fruits and savory/meaty notes. It didn't have any special opulence to make me go WOW, but it was well made. Drinking well now with a 2 hour decant and prob has several years of life left in it.
