  • Dark core with bright reddish violet rim; currant fruit cut off by the overwhelming amount of clove nutmeg spice and vanilla, blueberry, cedary; very fruity palate, clove nutmeg and vanilla continue persist, cedary tannin though they are softer than the nose suggests.

  • My goodness, this was tasty! I've been on a (mostly) winning streak with the cheaper red blends lately and this was no exception. Again, another wine with aromas that kept my nose in the glass for a good portion of the evening. It wasn't overly complex, but I didn't expect it to be. What it was, though, was a wine that tasted more expensive than the $14 I paid for it. I certainly love a bargain. 80% Cab Sauv, 16% Merlot, & 4% Syrah. Additional points given for quality-to-price ratio. I love a bargain.
