Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and presence of many small bubbles. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of cauliflower, pear, green apple, cream and rye bread. The wine is dry with a medium(+) acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium body with a creamy mousse. It has medium(+) intensity flavours of cauliflower, pear, green apple, cream and rye bread. The finish is long.

It is a very good quality wine. It has a very nice flavour concentration and a lingering finish. The acidity balances well the flavour concentration, however it could be more complex, and there is a small problem of mercaptans in the nose, a risk of long ageing on the lees, and this ones has been aged for 12 years. Can drink now, its acidity and flavour concentration should allow for a long ageing, 3-5 years, or maybe more, but I am afraid that the mercaptans are not going to allow it.
