  • Hour and a half decant, the nose is rustic cherry and a forest floor. The palate is on the tart side, with no tannins to speak of. Lighter in body and and juicy, with cherry as the main theme. Short on the finish. This is a food wine, not a stand alone drink.

  • This was different but just ok tome. Not bad but not exciting. The nose and taste reminded me of spring and celery. I would give this a higher rating but I do believe it will just not be memorable.

  • Delightful wine of light/ medium ruby color with clearing at the rim. Medium aromas of tart red cherry, but also a wonderful herbaceousness and underlying floral/smoky character. Red fruit on the palate, moderate alcohol with medium tannins. Nice Beaujolais-like character but that herabceousness makes this special. Drink now, wish I had more.

  • 100% Pelaverga Piccolo.

Very Nebbiolo-like appearance of translucent red cherry with pale, almost colorless rims. Spicy and complex nose, with very dry, almost tart fruit character of freshly picked forest berries, ripe raspberries, some sour cherries, a little peppercorn-driven spiciness and hints of wild florals and a whiff of reductive gunpowder smoke. Very light, dry and vibrant palate with moderately high acidity. Bright, crunchy flavors of sour cherry, ripe raspberry, tart lingonberry-driven red fruit, cranberry marmalade, some roasted peppery spice, a little stony minerality and a hint of herbal bitterness. Fairly low on tannins. Long, juicy finish with crunchy flavors of redcurrants, raspberries, some sour cherries and a little peppery spice.

Very light, refreshing and attractive little wine. Stylistically very close to the lighter end Langhe Nebbiolo wines but with spicier and crunchier red fruit character. A wonderful pizza wine and I can imagine this one pairs easily with a multitude of dishes. Really delightful, I love it. Drink, don't keep.
