Very enjoyable with hefty tannins but very refreshing acidity. Very dark with a profile not like most Cab Francs I have had in the past. No bell pepper at all, some earthy flavor, dark fruits.

This is still very dark in color. Full bodied with elevated tannins and acidity. Almost everyone at the table guessed Cabernet Franc, but most thought new world potentially. This was turned up to 11, but also the alcohol was held in check... The strong chalky earthy aromas coming off this lead many back to the Old world, but was hard to place.
I liked it, but needs more time

Full bodied and fruity, very nice with ottolenghi recipes, worked with the spices. Couldn’t give it a higher score due to the lack of the characteristic Cabernet franc flavor. Sort of generic, but nice.

Had this over a week or so, starting out with he coravin and then uncorking later on. Bordeaux not Loire take on Cab Franc, there is a lot of perfectly ripe material with a mineral core that remains tightly coiled. Violets and touches of pipe smoke on the nose, some forest floor and cedar. My guess is that this benefits from a few more years and that is my intent with my other bottle. At nearly $50 USD it's on the QPR bubble unless the development in bottle is substantial.
