Lots of development over the last 7-1/2 years, since I last enjoyed this. Cork completely disintegrated during opening, thus causing me to strain and decant this prior to a dinner of baked thick cut pork chop, brown rice and broccoli. Initially, this came across as a “gloppy” mess, but it started coming around after an hour. Blackberry, cherry, and plum with chocolate, cedar wood, tobacco, and black earth adding complex notes. Tannins are still noticeable, acids are well integrated, but fading. Finishes medium. Drink now, unlikely to improve with further cellaring.

5 years later and this wine was still tart and very astringent out of the bottle. After two hours of air it was finally open for business. Creme de Cassis, parchment, walnut wood. Their Finca la Cuesta costs much less and drinks better.

Perfect drinking window. This is flourishing right now. With all its primary, dark fruit and ripe but present tannin. It's gorgeous and I a bit sad it was my last bottle.

Black plum and cherry start-to-finish with good+ weight. Still slightly firm and tannic on finish. Good value wine.
