Had at a restaurant; nose is full of lemon peel, tart green apple, floral notes, hints of almond, crushed stone, a hint of pear. The palate is super fresh and lifted with juicy acidity. Concentration/depth is good though not great. Finish shows great balance and lingers. Really tasty.

Lots of new oak that's not fully integrated, grilled hazelnuts, butter, almost to the verge of rancid butter but it blows away. Delicious and elegant, clearly chardonnay of high caliber, but the fruit is almost too thin for the new oak. Many guessed new world chardonnay. Will be better with time. Good clean finish. My guess: Bouchard Meursault 2007.

Stylish wine with tension for days, but mostly acid rather than added complexity.

PNP into Riedel Burgundy glass (“Root” day): Pale golden to the eyes.
Superb palate with lots of minerality and bright acidity. Lean and energetic as signature from this producer.
95-96 points.
1.5 hours upon opening, about 1/2 left: more back to grapefruit and citrus oil notes.
3.5 hours upon opening, 1/5 left: falling back to more lemony and zesty dominant style.

Acker Merrall Bicentennial Gala (Cipriani Wall Street - New York NY): Late night, small glass, brief note. Apple and lemon zest with very good + concentration and length for its level, even if ending with a slightly tart finish.
