  • Tasted blind in the Chassagne Montrachet & Chambolle Musigny themed dinner. Generous bouquet of yellow fruits and fine lees substance. Effortless minerality of Puligny Montrachet, very eloquent. Dent de Chien crossed my mind (a tiny Chassagne 1er Cru located next to Montrachet). Eventually the wine gained more weight and glycerol which suggested Batard Montrachet, a muscular Grand Cru terroir but made in refined way, good winemaking. Shy initially but in hindsight it needed decanting and more time in the glass. 2013? Batard Montrachet? (91/100)

  • Chassagne & Chambolle Blind evening (110 Taillevent London): Served blind - obviously a very good wine but side by side PYMC Batard 07 (which was my WOTN) this stood no chance. I came across to me as riper then 13 vintage and was quite user friendly but simply didn't to me scream the pedigree of Grand Cru White Burg TOP producer. Not terribly complex or long. A middle of the fairway very nice white Burg. In a way possibly my disappointment vis a vis label of the night (although that is searching for the candidate as all wines were quite consistent and in general really pleasurable).

  • Subtle nose, but lovely oak judgement and clearly excellent winemaking. Like a Giaconda without the power/persistance, some wax in mouth and lighter touch. Some reduction showing. Needs time to show its potential. Wait 10yrs. Drink 2025-50

  • BORGOGNA 2015; 2/22/2015-3/22/2015: Barrell tasting at the domaine. Grosso, ma non grasso. Una granita alla mela.
Al contrario del Bienvenues, questo vino è già apertissimo e solare.
Spezie secche e erba fresca, Frutta gialle a poi tutta la controparte agrumata e marina. Finale molto lungo e a fuoco. Legno inesistente.
Si preannuncia a livello dei suoi standard di eccellenza. 93-95
