Paired with sea scallops and worked well. The wine was lighter and more balanced than the rich yellow in the glass implied. A hint of acid compliments the richness of meursault. Wine was still going strong with lots of life.

Medium body. Beautiful and complex nose of fruit and hazelnut. After about an hour of being open this really started to shine, growing more complex and well rounded. Nice finish.

White focused lunch at Maison Dakota. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Tasted blind. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, initially very tight and slowly opening up into medium intensity, aromas of stony minerality, oatmeal, integrated toast oak. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), rounded medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavorus of citrus lemon, green limes, sweet cream, stony minerality, oatmeal. Rounded long finish. Good quality. Guessed as 2013/2014 Meursault 1er cru.

Smoky, flinty, somehow like stone and rock, no premox at all, the oak is elegant, mouth-watering acidity , too young to drink by now, would be better when it develops tertiary nuttiness and honey buttery textures.
