Interesting and assertive aromas of nice bloody meat, pepper, cassis, dark chocolate, and a little heat dominate the nose. On the palate, it is a little thin, but still quite good, with decent complexity. One of the best Bordeaux I've had in a few years in the under $20 price range, and it blows away the California competition at that price range with its greater nuance and depth.
