Red-brownish as it came out of the bottle. Brick red after 30 minutes in the glass. Really strong smell of prune. And I mean really strong! Somewhat closed the first 30 minutes, but starts to open gradually. Flavours of blueberry, plum and vanilla. Amazingly long, complex and well rounded. Best enjoyed after 1 hour in the glass, at least. Fantastic wine!!!

Absolute fabulous. Dark red brick in color. Tasting so good and long. perfect to the entrecote. I'll give some more years to go. The wine looks brick colored. The legs are slow. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like cedar and vanilla. It tastes like blueberry, black currant (cassis), medicinal, bark and vanilla. The body is full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Totally different from the Musar norm with their chewy, dried fruits. This one had, besides the very light color, perfumed, herbal and green aromas. Intense and light in the mouth, with a lovely balancing acidity. Could easily believe there are some green grapes in the mixture.

This was my third bottle from the vintage 74 of Musar. So far non of the ones I’ve had have been faulted. This one was pretty charming with that classic Musar volatility. Hay and barnyard with tobacco and flower elements. This one felt a bit more heavy and round than the last bottle and it had a bit of oily texture. Still nice and elegant with ripe raspberry (a bit watery) liquorice and polished tannins.

Sopp, te og edelt treverk. Nydelig vin, sursøt frukt, julekrydder, lang avslutning.
