Snowdays with some 90 pointers: Is it strange to prefer Petit Chablis to Chablis? Somehow I always strike upon good ones. Tense but generous. Fresh but pretty. With citrus, dried white flowers, and minerals. Bought it bc it's a Kermit Lynch product and glad I did.

I also find quite a bit of bitterness on this Chablis, enough to spoil the otherwise decent flavor profile. Not exactly fruity, we don't expect it to be. Seems to portray a lot of limestone in the flavor. My first impression is lots of lime, then lemon and crisp white apple. Lots of body and structure. Subtle and reserved except for the mineral earthiness.

I'm a bit confused by this producer. I was a bit disappointed with the astringent bitterness I found in his '12 Chablis recently and I find the same in this '13 Petit. However, the nose is floral and beautiful and the flavor is very nice. The bitterness, however, leaves me dismayed. It could just be my own palate. This is a good wine, nonetheless.

Innocuous warm, it's charm comes through when cool. Lemony and fresh. Nice
