  This bottle was more tannic and less aerobatic than the last. This after 1 hour decant. Better after another hour. Perhaps this needs another year or two I. The cellar.

  Finally has come around. After a long decant there is still a bit of tannin present, but ample fruit in a tightly structured wine that will only get better over time.

  I purchased this at release and have stored in a temperature and humidity controlled cellar. First bottle of the batch to taste. I found it rather tannic and somewhat astringent. Notes of coffee, kahlua, dark fruit. But the tannins are ever present and the wine seems rather closed up, and this is after decanting for a few hours. Maybe this needs a few more years in the cellar.

  Still lots of tannins. I decanted for 2 hours and that seemed to soften the wine. The wine wine is earthy, chewy and probably needs more time in the bottle.

  The tannins are still very present. I found it more approachable on the second day.
