Dark purple. Nose of dark fruit and bakery. Dense palate, concentrated and ripe, soft tannins, rather new world, modern in style. I am missing structural finesse and aromatic complexity for a score in the 90ies.

Made from 100% Merlot dried on palettes in ventilated rooms. Aged for 20 months in new French barriques. Deep ruby coloured. Intense aromas of ripe blackberry and currant along with balsamic, sweet spices and vanilla. Broad, intense and extracted with firm tannins and a velvety mouth-feel. Long, fruity finish.

DWCC Iconic Swiss Varietals with Mr. Paolo Basso (Montreux, Switzerland): Orange zest, black fruit. Paolo sez "juniper and ivy leaf." I get slightly spicier green notes. Amazing Merlot palate, silky, rich, and deep with chocolate, cherry and black fruit. Finishing out a bit oaky with licorice and tar. Really rather serious Merlot.

Deep dark ruby with purple highlights. Blackberry, plum and ivy with soft vanilla notes. Full-bodied with abundant, astringent, but ripe tannins lend a rustic touch, but a firm framework for dark fruit and sweet oak flavours that linger on the finish.
