  Balanced palate, with less complexity than the nose (it's mainly austere dark fruit), but definitely encourages another sip. Being picky there is a little vanilla here as well (over-familiarity breeds contempt with that flavour in wine), but it's thankfully more background than foreground. Little in the way of tannins, but nicely refreshing acidity.
