  • Very pale color. Wonderful aromas of forest floor, red and dark fruits, flowers...the wine is constantly changing with air, which is the hallmark of great wines, and gives at every sip a different perspective. Very light on its feet but not lacking in aromas and flavors intensity and complexity, this wine is exactly the epitome of great Burgundy, complex and weightless, yet powerful. I Loved every smell and sip of it. This wine can be drunk now, and it will gain more complexity in the next five to ten years, this is a wine to taste blind alongside the labels.

  • Very bright colour, a typical Bourgogne,
on the nose a basket full of dark fruit, some forest floor hints,
very light start on the palate, the pure elegance with black fruit and very lively acid here, firm structure that young today, but reallly delicious swallowing, great pairing with some beef filet, can be enjoyed from now on with a decent decant but would primarily recommend to lay this one down another 5- 10 years,
    **(**), around 91- 93 potential

  • This is drinking very well. It is a very balanced wine. The tannins are moderate, great acidity with delicious dark fruit flavours and has great length. The fruit leaves a taste of sweetness ,and a slight sour cherry flavour on the palate. There is a density /weight to this wine as you drink it. Excellent GC approachable now but has the stuffing to even get better with time. A pleasure to drink! Very glad I have a few more tucked away to age. The 2013 Bonnes Mares from Bruno Clair I opened up a few days ago is more earthy , slightly less fruit forward with a different fruit flavour profile. Both great wines!
I found about a half a glass in the bottle the next day..... even better more balanced...great fruit flavours.

  • Approachable, drinking well, good acidity, tannins are settling down , dark fruit flavours are prominent, this is OK but needs time to soften and fatten up.
Glad I tried a bottle but will wait for the rest.

  • Far more open than last time I tried this (which was about two years ago), but that’s probably because this one had about 6 hours of air before it hit my glass. Still frighteningly young but just flat-out gorgeous with concentrated dark fruit, staggering depth, and a seamless profile. Better than the ‘14 version today. Clair continues to impress. So does 2013.
