Intense nose of blackberries and strawberries, dark chocolate, vanilla and hints of spice and charcoal. A whiff of bell pepper on the back end, which I cannot help but detect in Cabernet Sauvignon.
Palate is deep and rich. Blueberry pie and cherry pie, cassis burst on the scene, typical of a mid-level Ca Cab, but it has a nice mid palate of gentle acidity and tannins and an elegant finish. I don't get many secondary or tertiary notes right now. More pleasant than complex, it doesn't seem particularly advanced. I'd be curious to try it in ten years to see what it's really made of.

I opened a bottle to use for cooking and of course saved myself a glass to have in the afternoon. The nose was all fruit. The palate was berries, rhubarb and tobacco with a touch of oak. The finish was moderate and brought out flavors of red berries. The first tastes were ok but then I decided to have some cheese late afternoon and the wine was so much better. I do agree with the tracker who wrote last year that it does drink above its price point.

Deep inky ruby to the rim.

Pnp, wine is drinking nicely. Smooth tannins and nice amount of fruit. Drinks above its price point. Drink up don’t see it getting any better.

Wonderfully balanced Cabernet with woodsy and minty notes.
