D+0h: quite a lot of deposit in the filter and even more in the bottle, smells of blackberry D+3h: colour between purple red and cherry red, smells of forest ground, leather and blackberry, has a little bit of residual sugar, so not completely dry, smooth in the mouth, medium body, in the mouth forest ground, leather and blackberry, in the aftertaste forest ground, blackberry and a little bit of acidity, good length (30 sec), well matured red wine.

Down a point from my last review, this is my last of the vintage, but if I had more, I'd drink soon. Nose is still solid, but it's sure not improving with time.

A savoury bouquet of dried bark, dry autumn leaves, redcurrants and black cherry compote. Though a little shy at first, the nose opened and showed good intense flavours with mocha, cherry liqueur chocolates and gentle spices. I also got a mint note - not sure if there is any Cab in this wine? Fuller-bodied than expected, the wine is fleshy and voluptuous, with black cherry and sour cherry twists rounded with pastille juiciness underneath and a touch of savoury, smoked herb nuance. Open with fleshy, filigree tannins, some backbone with a medium finish of cocoa powder and milk chocolate. A well-balanced, attractive wine with a fleshy core showing well.

I agree with some recent notes that this is much, much better than I would have expected from some of the notes here. Really nicely balanced and smooth. Nothing mind bending for sure, but this was extremely solid.

PnD let air for 2hrs.
Consistent with previous note but starting to show balsamic notes and drying. Still some nice fruit. Drink up now.
