Further to my Note of Aug 17 '20: this is #7. Good cork. Decanted with almost no sediment. This is holding well with solid color, fragrant red fruit nose, and semi-rich briary fruit--still tasty as an everyday zin (with pizza this time). Consistent notes from another bottle on July 13 '21.

Bought a 12b case from a local independent shop for 8+/b 5 years ago; this is #5. Dark purple; fragrant berry and briary nose that follows on the palate, bit of fruit fade over 90 minutes, good mouthfeel. This is delicious for an everyday zin but won't improve and needs drinking. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" are misleading. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. This is notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

Major over the top fruit bomb at this point. No acidity. No tannins. Lots of dark, jammy fruit. A lot of vanilla and sort of an essence of vanilla. Maybe a little oak. That's about it. Very smooth. Will go with a lot.

Alcohol is 'in your face'. Big bold zin out of Sonoma from 2013. No surprised the boldness was there. Has to be a star for this winery

Bom vinho, levemente frutado e com bom equilíbrio.
