2019 Los Olivos Trip; 11/14/2019-11/17/2019: Intriguing nose. Touch of caramelization, suggesting a fruit just starting to turn. As a whole, though, the wine is a fascinating drink and tastes much better than that descriptor sounds.

Lovely wine very typical of well made Santa Rita Hills pinot, but it paled in comparison to the Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge that was served alongside this wine.

Like previous vintage note, I would have blind guessed this as an Oregon Pinot. Great earthy nose, mushrooms, roasted eggplant. Fruits are dark and subtle on the nose and come out to play on the palate in the form of dark cherry,. Smoke, spice on the nose emphasized and enhanced on retronasal expulsion. Nice long finish. Easy to drink and enjoy and easy to linger over as well.
I would buy again at the right price ($28-$36) for me and share with friends. Fantastic wine when well paired. Recommended

Medium cherry red color; tasty, tart cherry palate with medium acidity; medium-plus finish
