  • This bottle continues to improve just 6 months after we bought it. Amazing wine. So youthful at age 22. A Riesling for the reference. Paired with branzino nigiri, basil cilanto, and a tropical vinaigrette. Simply great.

  • restaurant purchase @ Lotus of Siam. PNP. Cork intact and wet partway up. Color light straw. no detailed notes but this was great. it is in that mature resolved RS and acid phase that I enjoy, with great flavor supporting the brisk acidity. the acids are creamy and keep the fruit lively and the sweetness is gone. this seems very youthful still and was delightful tonight with khao soi. awesome option and a real surprise on the list!

  • Cork was disintegrating and needed careful maneuvering. Pours light gold, a lot lighter than I would have though.

On the nose smoke and dried apricots. On the palate, apricots, canned peach syrup and red apples, ending with some lemon zest and bracing acidity. Not a whole lot of petrol. The syrupy body wants to trick you into thinking this is sweet, but as a matter of fact, this is quite dry, a lot drier than I would have thought for spatlese not labeled as trocken. This is quite young and fresh, both in appearance and taste, despite being 20 years old.

    Delicious with Thanksgiving fare.
