  • Same venue, Roux at Parliament Square, as last year's note. Obviously my love of Loire Cab Franc hasn’t changed. My ‘17 note says it all (except that this was their “last” bottle!). Perhaps 2019?? Superb.

  • Dinner with wife and eldest daughter; Roux at Parliament Square. Limited notes.
Inevitably PnP'd and rather on the cool side nonetheless more than excellent - three of us demolished their last two bottles!
Dark. Focussed cherry and wild strawberry fruit. Secondary characteristics emerged as the wine warmed up/breathed: earth, spice, a hint of strap and a tad of minerality. Long dry finish.
Still on a secure plateau, should easily make 25 years from vintage and with a full preparation before drinking possibly worth another point or two. 91+?+
