I’m a bit surprised by the lukewarm reaction to this wine. I love it. Straw color. The nose is oh so complex - corn husk, orange peel, ripe pit fruit - oxidative. Medium bodied and intense. Super depth shows more fruit than sherry. What a great aperitif. Would also shine with cheese. Digging it. (94)

First Jura wine that has seen any "sous voile" for me. Not a true vin jaune as it only gets 4 years and is 50% chardonnay/50% savagnin, but definitely shows some of what I would guess the characteristics are. The nose shows orchard blossom, bruised apple and pear, lightly toasted walnut and hazelnut. It is intriguing and interesting. The palate is ripe and well balanced with an interesting feel due to the higher levels of acetaldehyde. I find this interesting and enjoyable and while I'm not sure I would want to drink it weekly, it would be a fun wine type to explore.

Pale, maybe med Gold
Slightly oxidative nose, definitely sherry-like, with saline, almonds, baking spice
Fruity palate showing lemon curd, pineapple, muscat, spearmint, saline, and almonds
As always, an interesting wine and a break from the ordinary.

Sous voile savagnin + chardonnay. Needs lots of air (hours). Drink just a bit above room temp.

Good, oxidized in style. Not my favorite bottle from a great producer.
