  Drunk on the 26th of december with some fat Christmas food. It handled the food-challenge well, had a lovely nose, intense and fruitful. The taste was a little bit boring at first, though balanced, but I suspect this was due to it being served too cold. When it warmed up the fruit and alcohol became more prominent in a positive way. A good glass of wine, but did not strike me as quite as impressive as at my last tasting in November.

  Rhone nose of horse stable, violets, blueberries, and allspice. Energetic, fruit-forward. Full bodied. Blueberry ice cream palate, with wild horse stable undertones. Earthy, lingering dry finish. I am now pretty sure Cristia makes the best Cotes du Rhone (though I have yet to try Coudoulet de Beaucastel).
