  • Drank the first five within 3 years and rook me 4 and a half years to drink the last one! This wine went with mushroom chicken spaghetti like two peas in a pod. 15 minutes after cork pop I thought I had waited way too long. Was a lot of gamey, vegetal notes but all of them blew off. End result was a wine with a nose and palate of purple funeral flowers, mushroom sauce, violets, truffle dark chocolate, and cigar ash. Finished with a lot of acidity and dark mulling spices. This wine has really done well and I would most certainly buy any vintage of this wine as it is a solid, well made Cahors wine that is cellar worthy. Although price is a bit higher than you would typically find for the area, the structure and balance of this wine is really incredible and does not disappoint.

  • Drinking perfectly well and enjoyable, but overpriced.

  • This one has a few different facets. The wine poured very dark into the glass. Lots of perfume yet an edge of Earth on the nose. The entry of this wine is quite full bodied. Hits you right between the eyes. Dark purple fruit, combined with cigar box, earth, leather, nitrogen, and spice. This one gets a little bit darker in the middle, notes of a cinnamon and dark fig jam. The Finish is very powerful, again showing a purple Berry core with earthy notes, some clove, pepper, good acidity. You could describe this one in about a hundred different ways and they would all be correct about them all. This one has a few different facets. The wine poured very dark into the glass. I hear that these higher elevation Malbec wines can appreciate for 20 plus years. I sure am glad I bought a few of these. Now the greatest challenge will be hands off the other four! am immensely impressed with this wine. I hear that these higher elevation Malbec wines can appreciate for 20 plus years. • Enjoyed tonight with a gyro entree meal. This wine took probably 30 to 45 minutes warming up, but once it did, oh mama! Poured an inky black into the glass. The nose of black fruit, some herb, some floral. The entry of this wine is just dark, dark, dark, black and purple fruits with a hint of licorice and ink. Rather smooth, full bodied, not a lot of youthful or "bright" blackberry. Went really well with the gyro meat and all the etc's. This is a high elevation french Malbec, but really tastes more like a Petit Verdot. Nice wine, and I think that this one is just about nuclear....I see this one lasting through 2040 and beyond.

  • C'est très bon mais le prix semble élevé pour la complexité limitée en ce moment, si on compare à la cuvée Les Laquets qui est 2 fois moins chère mais pas 2 fois moins bonne. À réessayer dans quelques années...
